For over 35 years, Fujitsu has been working hard to make the world a more comfortable place. We have produced and shipped millions of air conditioning systems throughout the world to make the hottest places cool and the coolest places comfortable.

Halcyon products have been designed to provide zoned comfort for residential and commercial applications. Engineered to install quickly and easily without ductwork, Halcyon systems provide cooling and heating solutions where others cannot.

If your heating and cooling system is more than 10 years old or not keeping your house or office comfortable, you should have it looked at by one of our experienced technicians. If it is not performing efficiently, or needs upgrading, consider replacing it with a unit that has earned the ENERGY STAR®. Installed correctly, these high-efficiency heating and cooling units can save up to 20% on heating and cooling costs.

Homeowners can claim 30% of the costs (up to a $1,500 limit) for the installation of higher efficiency equipment, including air source heat pumps, in tax year 2010.  The tax credit applies to the installed costs of the qualified equipment, which includes labor.

For ductless mini-split heat pumps to qualify for this credit, they must meet specific criteria:

The $1,500 limit applies to many types of energy efficient home improvements, including windows and doors, roofing shingles, and insulation. Homeowner may only claim $1,500 in total for any improvements and can choose to use the entire credit toward the installation of one appliance.

Fujitsu ductless mini-split systems feature:

Quiet Operation - Ductless air conditioners are comprised of an indoor and outdoor unit, which allows for a peaceful inside environment by enabling the contractor to install louder components like compressors and motors outdoors.

Energy Efficient - Because there are no ducts, Halcyon systems lose less than 5% cooling vs. up to 40% for traditional forced-air systems. Increased efficiencies up to 26-SEER mean lower utility bills.  Several models are even Energy Star Qualified, meaning they save you on your utility bill.

Proper sizing and installation of equipment is critical to achieve optimal performance.  Split system air conditioners and heat pumps must be matched with appropriate coil components to meet ENERGY STAR criteria.  Ask one of our Comfort Consultants for details or visit www.energystar.gov.

Individual Zoning - Why pay to heat or cool areas that no one is occupying?  Individual zoning allows you to heat or cool the areas you want, and not the areas that are unoccupied.

Environmentally Friendly - Halcyon systems use R410A refrigerant designed to  prevent the depletion of the ozone layer.

Safe and Secure - Using window a/c makes it very easy for intruders to enter your home.  Halcyon units mount high on a wall, away from the window, providing you with improved security and a pleasant view.
Easy Installation - Copper tubing running through a small 3 to 4-inch opening in the wall or ceiling easily connects the indoor and outdoor units. Refrigerant is cycled through the lines from the outdoor condensing unit to the indoor unit, where the air is quietly distributed to the interior space.

Aesthetically Pleasing - Conventional air duct systems tend to be bulky and can require special structural attention while Halcyon system piping can often be routed through walls and joists to maintain aesthetics.

Flexible, Remote Control Cooling - Because each room has its own ductless air handler, you can create up to four zones with a timer and optional wired remote that puts you in temperature control and allows you to meet the varying comfort needs of different spaces. Comfort control is at your fingertips with the standard wireless remote controller.

Inverter Technology - Through new, advanced technology, Inverter air conditioners are more economical to operate and quieter to run than conventional units. They can handle greater extremes in temperature, are smoother and more stable in operation, and reach the desired temperature more quickly than conventional air conditioners.

Inverter Control - The Inverter component allows the outdoor unit to vary its speed and output to match the required capacity of the indoor unit. Thus, the Inverter model can achieve 30% more operating efficiency than conventional models and therefore, is much less expensive to run.

Indoor Air Quality (I.A.Q.) - Fujitsu’s I.A.Q. systems provide residential and commercial property owners an innovative solution for clean, temperature-controlled indoor air.  Halcyon I.A.Q. systems help to create a comfortable indoor environment by removing airborne irritants, odors and allergens such as cigarette smoke, dust, pollen, mold spores and pet dander.

The plasma filter’s electric pole generates ions while negatively-charged particles are attracted to the ground section and are collected by a disinfecting and deodorizing filter.  The filters are especially useful at reducing pet and cigarette odors.  Halcyon I.A.Q. systems feature super-charged plasma ionization and electrostatic filtration systems that ionize the airborne contaminants, neutralize them and provide clean air.

Washable Panel Filter - The removable and washable panel filter is an effective air cleanser, removing mold & dust from the environment. Cleaning of the indoor unit itself is simple due to the design and shape of the casing.

Smart System:  Auto Mode - When the system is initially turned on, the fan speed is HIGH to reach the set temperature as quickly as possible.  The fan speed will automatically adjust downward as the room begins to reach the set temperature.

Humidity Control - This system features Dry Mode, which helps to control humidity levels, even when cooling may not be needed.
